Zachary Avina, Chairman

Zachary Avina is devoted to equal justice, societal compassion, and employment fairness. He is an attorney in San Diego, practicing business and employment law. He has prior experience in local law firms, including the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and Wilkinson Mazzeo, PC, where he focused on public interest law and small business law, respectively. He is also a member of the San Diego Reentry Roundtable, as well as the Chair of the Outreach Committee.

Kristen Walker, Secretary

Kristen Walker oversees $20 million dollars in San Diego County funds for the San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP), which is a non-profit that funds job training programs that empower job seekers to meet the current and future workforce needs of employers in San Diego County. SDWP is the local Workforce Development Board, designated by the City and County of San Diego. Walker's program portfolio includes two Job Centers in San Diego County Correctional Facilities. Previous to working at SDWP, Walker spent 6 years working in direct non-profit services to provide workforce, and therapeutic interventions for low-income families, foster, and probation youth. Walker is proud to call San Diego home for the past 12 years, and lives in San Carlos with her husband and two dogs.

Julia Switzky, Treasurer

Julia Switzky is an assurance associate at PwC in Los Angeles, CA. She earned a Master of Financial Accounting degree and a Bachelor of Economics degree at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She enjoys spending time with animals and learning about politics.

Justine Kehl, Director

Justine Kehl earned her Bachelors in Molecular Biology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She works in Pharma Technical Regulatory under Bio Development at Genentech in San Francisco, CA, where she manages the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) information for clinical trials. She has volunteered at French Hospital.
